Strength, Spirit & Discipline: Taekwondo Championship 2025

Chandigarh witnessed the rise of disciplined warriors on 18th May.

On 18 May 2025, the Sector 56 Sports Complex, Chandigarh came alive with energy and determination as the Sports Shastra Foundation, in collaboration with Khed Bharati Punjab, hosted a grand Taekwondo Competition—bringing together over 150+ young athletes from across the region.

This wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of youth empowerment through martial arts. Under the guidance of certified coaches and officials, participants competed across age and weight categories, showcasing not just skill, but courage, focus, and mutual respect.


A Partnership for Progress

Marking a historic step forward, Khed Bharati Punjab and Sports Shastra Foundation signed an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the event. This MoU outlines a shared commitment to:

  • Promote martial arts and self-defense training across Punjab
  • Support youth development through structured sports programs
  • Collaborate on anti-drug awareness campaigns under Mission Zindagi: Nasha Ton Azadi
  • Organize regular competitions, workshops, and training initiatives across districts

This Taekwondo Championship was just the beginning. With the MoU now in place, both organizations have pledged to scale their efforts and bring martial arts to the forefront of youth engagement and social reform in Punjab.
